Copies of Court documents
Most court files are public record unless restricted by state statute or impounded by court order.
You may view files and purchase copies at our main office located at 540 S Randall Rd, St Charles, IL or you may email your copy request to Research@kanecountyil.gov. Copies requested through the email can be paid online at https://cic.countyofkane.org/Pages/online-payments.aspx, by choosing Miscellaneous Payments and using the Research Request form number that was emailed to you, with the total due. Payments may also be mailed in or paid in person.
There is a $6.00 per year research fee if the case is not in the system and our office has to research it. Research fees are payable in advance and will be added to the cost of any copies requested. Research requests are processed in the order it was received.
