Are you a person who enjoys working with the public with a strong desire to provide excellent customer service?  Do you have, communication, problem solving and data entry skills? The Circuit Clerk's Office may be an excellent career for you.  Strong computer skills are a must as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.), ZOOM, use of email and the ability to navigate around and use many other software applications used by the office and courts. Applicants should be able to type at least 35 wpm with accuracy.  Must have extensive data-entry skills, strong math skills, money handling, filing and phone (call center) experience.  Must enjoy working with the public and providing customer service in person, by telephone, email, mail or chat.  Be able to multi-task and handle large workload(s) with attention to detail. Have the ability to work independently and as a team to accomplish varied assignments. Be able to work under pressure. Be able to lift up to forty (40) pounds.  Be willing to travel locally to the various Kane County Court buildings and have a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle with the proper vehicle insurance and vehicle registration

This is a Union position.  The deputy clerks are represented thru American Federation State County Municipal Employees - AFSCME.

Monday – Friday 7.5 hours per day 37.5 hour work week.

Starting salary $18.46 per hour.  Annual gross $35,997.00 no end range.  Pay increases are in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement with AFSCME.​
